About The Ospreys

The Ospreys is a society by and for the University of Cambridge’s sportswomen aimed at raising the profile of women’s sport.

We are ran by the Senior Committee who are all Ospreys alumnae who are still very much involved in the University and the Junior Committee. The Junior Committee are all students currently at Cambridge and voted in by The Ospreys as a whole, you will see them at all the events sporting the lovely Ospreys’ blazer.

The Ospreys focus on building networks, developing careers and sporting potential and being a trusted support system to help achieve excellence. All of our members are talented young ladies who work tirelessly on the pitch, as well as in the classroom – if you have been awarded a Blue, Half Blue or Team Colours in a University sport, you can join the Ospreys today!

The Ospreys want to recognise the impressive accomplishments you have achieved and help you become inspired by other ambitious, hard-working and skilled individuals.

On the social side of things, we hold a variety of drinks events and networking gathering to connect and inspire. Our very popular termly Speakers Dinners feature a range of inspirational role models including Olympians, international coaches, and leading women in business and media.

The opportunities of the club run far beyond the hallowed-halls of Cambridge and extend after graduation with our Annual Dinner or our Alumnae Sports Day to welcomes back Old Cantabrigians every Autumn. Our club allows you to stay connected and informed, and never lose touch with your fellow Light Blues.

We’re Talented. We’re Ambitious. We’re Supportive. We’re a Light Blue Family.
